The Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha, Qatar will host the 17th edition of the FIP World Padel Championships from 28 October to 2 November 2024.

The International Federation of Padel (FIP) biennial flagship event will see 16 national teams compete in the men’s and women’s categories.

Qatar was chosen to host this year’s tournament based on a series of criteria, including, but not limited to, the world-class quality of sporting facilities, the conditions and support offered to players, the experience in the delivery of major events, security, financial guarantee, geographical location and sporting heritage. The popularity of padel in Qatar has also exploded in recent years, in part due to the Qatar Tennis Federation’s (QTF) leadership and local activations, and the passionate local fan base, something only likely to grow given Nasser Al-Kehalifi’s Qatar Sports Investment (QSI) investment into the global tour, Premier Padel.

The 17th World Championships padel of the FIP will offer prize money of €500, to be distributed equally between men and women to all countries qualified for the final phase.

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, president of the Qatar Tennis Federation, said : “We are delighted to host the World Championships of padel of the FIP 2024 in Qatar at our world-class facilities at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha.
