The inaugural Anglo‑American Padel Cup has secured a powerful partnership ahead of its debut this October, with Playtomic and Babolat confirmed as co‑title sponsors for the two‑day event at Padel Hub in North London. The collaboration brings together two of the sport’s most influential brands, underlining their shared ambition to grow padel through this pioneering event.

Set for 10–11 October 2025, the Anglo‑American Padel Cup is modelled on iconic team formats like the Ryder and Davis Cups. Teams from Great Britain and the United States will compete across Open, 40+, 50+ and 60+ categories, fielding two pairs per division for a total of 64 players. The event’s founders have described the backing of Playtomic and Babolat as perfect for the Cup’s vision, which aims to showcase both elite talent and the sport’s inclusive spirit. “This event is about more than competition, it’s about community and connection, and continuing to enrich the special sporting relationship between these two nations” they noted, adding that the sponsorship helps establish the Cup as “an event that reflects the best of these two fast-emerging padel nations, and the bright future we all see for padel.”

The move builds on a strategic global partnership that Playtomic and Babolat signed earlier this year. The agreement was designed to connect players with courts, equipment, and each other through a blend of technology and real‑world experiences. Since then, the brands have rolled out initiatives such as a Global Digital League, product testing opportunities, tournaments, and gamified events across major padel markets, including the UK, US, Spain, France, Germany, and Italy.

For the organisers, the choice of Padel Hub North London as the host venue reflects the event’s premium ambitions. The facility features six indoor courts, complemented by modern amenities including a gym, café, bar, and padel shop. They described it as a fitting backdrop for the competition and a venue that aligns with the community‑focused ethos of both sponsors.

The event is also seen as a showcase of how digital platforms and high‑quality equipment can deepen player engagement. Playtomic continues to expand globally, making it easier for players to find and book courts, connect with others, and join leagues and tournaments, while Babolat continues to innovate with rackets and gear trusted by players at the highest level. In their words, “We’re committed to helping grow padel at every level, and this competition brings together national pride, multiple age groups, and the very best of our sport. We’re excited to help deliver a truly inspirational experience for all, in two nations where we see a robust future for the sport of padel.”

With three months to go, excitement is already building. Team GB has confirmed its Open category captains, with LTA‑ranked Rafa Vega leading the men and Eloise Tait heading up the women.

For Playtomic and Babolat, the partnership is more than just a sponsorship – it’s a statement about their commitment to the sport’s future.
